Why I started a masonry company in Vallejo
I learned this trade laying brick and block for a big commercial outfit, where I picked up how to read plans, work to spec and keep a job site in order. In 2023 I started J&R Vallejo Concrete and Masonry here in Vallejo so I could bring that same careful work to homes and have the time to explain it. Most of the calls we get are about crumbling mortar, a tired chimney, or a yard that needs a wall, a walk or new pavers.
What I care about most is that you understand your own walls and chimneys, so you can make a good call instead of just taking my word for it. A cracked joint or a loose brick usually has a reason behind it, and once you've seen it for yourself, the repair makes sense. That's how I'd want it done on my own house.

Permits filed and inspections lined up
When a job needs a permit, we handle the filing and line up the inspections with the city, so you aren't stuck sorting it out yourself. In Vallejo, permit questions start at the Central Permit Center on the City of Vallejo website, and if you're not sure what your job needs, we check with that office for your address before work starts.
