Accepting these terms
These terms cover your use of the J&R Vallejo Concrete and Masonry website. By browsing our home page or any other page on this site, or by asking us for an estimate, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
These terms cover the website and the way we handle estimates and scheduling in general. When you hire us, the written estimate or contract for your job sets out the work, the price and the payment schedule. If that document and these terms ever disagree, the signed document for your job controls.
What we do
J&R Vallejo Concrete and Masonry is a masonry contractor based in Vallejo, CA, and we also work in many of the cities around it. Our work includes brick, block, stone and concrete jobs such as foundation repair, chimney repair, tuckpointing, retaining walls, pavers and walkways. You can read more about our crew on our About page.
The service descriptions, photos and general advice on this site are meant to help you understand the work. They aren't a quote, a promise of a specific result or advice for your particular house. Every property is different, and we only know what a job needs once we've seen it.
Estimates and pricing
We give estimates at your property, and asking for one doesn't commit you to anything. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the visit, so it reflects the conditions, materials and scope we discuss with you at that time.
The price can change if the scope changes or if we find conditions that weren't visible when we gave the estimate, such as damaged block behind a wall face or poor soil under a slab. When that happens, we'll stop and explain what we found before doing extra work, and we'll get your approval for any change in price in writing.
An estimate stays valid for the period written on it. After that, material and labor costs may have moved, and we may need to update the figures.
Scheduling, delays and cancellation
We set start dates with you once the job is agreed, and we'll do our best to keep them. Weather, permit timing, material deliveries and conditions found once the work is open can push a date back, because some masonry work can't be done safely in rain or while concrete or mortar is still curing. If that happens, we'll tell you as early as we can and set a new date with you.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, please call us at (707) 310-8446 as soon as you know. Your written contract explains any charges for materials already ordered or work already done before a cancellation. Nothing in these terms takes away any right to cancel a home improvement contract that California law gives you.
Payment
Payment amounts, due dates and accepted payment methods are set out in your written estimate or contract. Please pay by the dates listed there, because late payment can delay the next stage of your job.
If an invoice looks wrong to you, contact us before the due date so we can go over it together and correct anything that needs fixing.
Warranties and website information
Any warranty on our work is the one written into your contract, and it covers only what that document says. Products and materials we install may also carry their makers' own warranties, which are handled under those makers' terms.
The information on this website is provided as is. We try to keep it accurate and current, but we don't promise that every page is complete, error-free or right for your situation. Don't rely on the site alone for a decision about your house. Ask us, and we'll look at your job in person.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent California law allows, J&R Vallejo Concrete and Masonry isn't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss that comes from using this website or relying on its general information.
For work we perform, our responsibilities are the ones set out in your written contract and the ones California law places on contractors. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law doesn't allow a business to limit.
If we disagree
If you have a problem with our work or with this site, call us first. Most issues get sorted out quickly when we talk through them, and we'll come back out to look if that helps.
If we can't settle it between us, either of us may take the matter to the courts in Solano County, California, unless your contract names a different process or the law requires another venue.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute about them or about this website, are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we change how we schedule work or when the law changes. The version posted on this page is the one in effect, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. Changes to this page don't alter a contract you've already signed with us.
Questions about these terms
If anything here is unclear, call us at (707) 310-8446 or reach us through our Contact page, and we'll explain it in plain terms.
